Cape Winelands Netball Federation established the Academy Program throughout the Cape Winelands district for talent identified players, coaches and umpires.
TRAINING PROGRAM
Designed to ensure optimum results. Our sessions give the athletes education on how to train with regards to fitness, skills work and goal setting. We also address other aspects necessary to become an elite athlete. Being talented is not enough, and only players with the right attitude to training and playing will make it to the top.
ALTERNATIVE TRAINING

Implemented successfully into our program is the BOXNET sessions as well as the very popular TABATA Netball with a twist.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Training opportunities for coaches and umpires. Mentoring and training of coaches. We value our coaches and like to invest quality time into growing their skills and assisting them in any way we can. That’s why we will provide more coaching assistance thru the academy. Summer and pre-season training is about to kick off and we will also launch new online training opportunities for members.
TOP COACHES IN TRAINING
The NSA LEVEL 1 course is for beginner coaches and selectors who are interested in the game and keen to develop their coaching knowledge. This is a three-day course that will run from a Friday to Sunday.
The NSA LEVEL 2 course is for coaches looking to further their existing accreditation. To qualify as a LEVEL 2 coach, you should have at least 1 year experience as a LEVEL 1 coach. This is a three-day course that will run from a Friday to Sunday.
NUTRITION | REFUELING
Training combined with appropriate nutrition will optimise your sporting performance and help you unleash your potential.
Young athletes must also be provided with the appropriate food and fuel required for the additional demands of growth and maturation to ensure healthy and successful athletes who enjoy their sporting activities.
